Applause Productions started in 1993 with owner, John Potter, and his father, Tom.  After attending a typical wedding reception with a typical DJ, Tom and John decided they could do it better!  They started by listing all the things they wanted to change about how DJ's "do" weddings.  They  looked at everything from the guest's perspective.  It worked!  From then on at every  wedding, birthday party, and corporate event the job of an Applause Production DJ is to please the crowd.  And when your guests are pleased, so are you!

When their wedding bookings began to increase, they quickly learned that a wedding reception is about more than the music!  By filling in the gap between the planning with the Bride and Groom, to executing the agenda for the evening with the hall, the caterer, and the photographer, their visions of "doing it better", came true!  These experiences helped them to provide a better quality service for all types of events.

Today, Applause Productions still offers their excellent DJ Services as well as Video Production.  Their equipment is professional and equivalent to any larger company, but they have the advantage of being a family owned business. The family, including John's wife, Amanda, and his sister, Julie, all work together to provide personalized service to each customer they meet.
